The Lipstick Project Foundation is a Vancouver-based charity that provides free, professional spa services for men, women and children facing significant health challenges across Metro Vancouver.
The organization started in 2011 at the North Shore Hospice in response to a friends’ mother-in-law’s request to have her hair and her nails done in her final days. Inspired by this special moment, TLP was founded and has since provided over 1,000 services at six partner locations including the Ronald McDonald House of BC, Canuck Place Children’s Hospice and the Vancouver Hospice Society.
“We are thrilled that the North Shore Hospice was where TLP was born,” explains Founder, Leigh Boyle. “The team there has always been so welcoming and encouraging to us. Without their faith in us and belief in our program, I’m not sure we would have been able to serve as many people as we have!”
This summer, the organization is expanding into Adanac Park Lodge, Camp Goodtimes with the Canadian Cancer Society, and the Nancy Chan Palliative Ambulatory Clinic.
