The Squamish General Hospital (SGH) has an outpatient Basic Community Chemotherapy Service: Level II, which is directly affiliated with the British Columbia Cancer Agency (BCCA) and the Lion’s Gate Hospital (LGH) chemotherapy clinic.
The SGH out-patient chemotherapy clinic provides:
– IV, SC and oral chemotherapy treatments, Tuesday to Thursday
– Chemotherapy-related education
– Symptom management
– Management of central venous access devices
The SGH chemotherapy clinic staff includes:
– General Practice physicians with a special interest in oncology who work in collaboration with oncologists at BCCA and LGH
– BCCA chemotherapy certified Registered Nurses
– SGH pharmacist and staff who prepare and dispense chemotherapy drugs and other medications and are available for consultation and medication education if required
– Other support services may include dietician, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, home nursing care, home support and palliative care

The SGH chemotherapy clinic is open Monday to Friday 0800-1530, and is closed weekends and statutory holidays.
