The mission of the Sunshine Coast Hospice Society, a community-based, non-profit organization, is to provide support and advocacy and respect the dignity of those in our Coast community who are coping with grief, bereavement and their end-of-life.
Our trained volunteers provide palliative care services to residents of the Lower Sunshine Coast from Langdale to Egmont.
The Sunshine Coast Hospice Society supports two palliative care rooms, as well as a family room, at Shorncliffe in Sechelt. Care is provided there on a 24/7 basis by professional staff.
There are 2 Palliative Care Coordinators working between acute, Hospice and community, ensuring that patients receive the right care, at the right time, in the right place.
